Got a new/old camaro

Hey guys i purchased a 80 camaro for $600..no rust...originaly a v6 but now has a v8(guy said 350) It has a pass side dipstick....81 or newer? It has a Quadrajet but its off a 70's era car since it still is able to be adjusted with a flathead...anyways where is the numbers to tell what it is? Also it seems to have the throttle linkage is pretty ghetto riged and it seems like i can attain WOT. Do I just get a universal throttle cable? Also my trans kickdown cable broke..is it important to fix? Id also like to know if my 70 c20 350 and trans will drop right in to my camaro? BTW this is my second 2nd gen camaro Ive owned. My first was a 79 with t-tops and 355ci mildy built and I had to buy one again. thanks for the help
