I have a hypertech PPIII on my 02 Duramax. I love it. Very noticable increase throughout the entire power band -- towing is a dream. I also added the K&N FIPK.... now I'm saving my pennies for the exhaust upgrade!!

I have a 2k with 5.3, I installed a thottle body spacer and noticed a nice performance gain. Most performance noticed when pulling my trailer. I bought it through Summit for $99.00. They claim 20hp and tons of torque. It installed in about 20 minutes.

You basically have named three of the easiest/cheapest upgrades that are noticed, and even better when used together. The K&N and the programmer work wonders, and you will no longer think of it as a scaredy cat when you stomp the pedal. The exhaust will give it even more power and a throatier growl. All this, and if you do it right you'll get a noticable power boost, and all around performance with the Programmer for about 1k, plus or minus a few hundred.
