engine rebuild

ok on a 91 non-turbo what would an engine rebuild consist of? I'm still trying to learn everything about rotaries so fill me in, oh and what kinda price should I expect to pay for parts and labor?

If you do the labor your self, an base engine rebuild will cost you about $700.

If you do a master rebuild (that means replaceing more parts, like corner seals, oil pump chain, ....) It will cost you about $950 or so.


But if you pay someone to rebuild your motor, or buy a new one, and send in your core, it will cost about $1200 +

If you are going to pay someone to do it, I suggest talking to Kevin Landers at rotarresurection.com He is a great guy to deal with, and does good work.


But I would suggest that you do not rebuild your own engine, without learing alot more about it, because I've seen alot of people rebuild there own engine's, and they didn't make it threw break in before they started eating apex seals.

well something I need to know is like what parts would be replaced in a master rebuild cuz I know most engines is like pistons, rods, cams, etc. but rotary don't have that so someone fill me in

water seals,oil o-ring,stationary bearing,rotor bearing,full gasket set,cornel seals w/spring,side seals w/springs,apex seals w/springs, this is basically what you will put in and thats depend on who will do the engine but i recomend that the engine is already open to put in everything new,and do some porting is already open.
