Can anyone give me some feedback or point me in the right direction as far as what is the best overall performance exhaust for the 5.7L hemi? I've been told to go with Borla, but there are several other brands out there as well.

I bought a Gibson for my 5.9L and I love it. Deep throaty sound as well as more hp.....can't beat that combo. I would go with a Borla or a Gibson. Borlas is more expensive than the Gibson (the places I've talked to anyway), but if cost is not an option, go with the Borla.

A buddy of mine told me to go with an H-Pipe and get headers and a catback exhaust system for the deepest sound. How does this sound to y'all?

Sounds good to me. Go for it. I didn't do headers on mine. I want to, but I'm not going to. I put the Gibson catback in, split rear exit. That's the one I liked the best, and it soundz great, too. Good Luck.

I have a 03 dodge ram sxt standard cab with the 5.7 hemi and I have a single in duel out glasspack the sound is great but I don't really see a differance in horsepower but it sounds great when I am at idle i get a low rumble, when I get on it you can hear it about 2 blocks away and it turns heads. I got mine done at the local carx shop for about $200.00 I have read in some other forums not to change the headers and not to go with individual exhaust because it will hurt performance (ie. not enough back pressure)
