86 944

Hey I bought a 1986 944 about a year ago. Its in great condition, only 50,000 miles on it. I was wondering what recommendations people here might have as how to make the car faster...I know there is a turbo model of the car...but that doesn't necessarily mean my car can use a turbo...And I read in another post that they have supercharger kits for some 944s, does anyone know if you can super charge an '86? If so, how much wear would the supercharger cause to the engine?

one good way to increase hp w/o a turbo is to either grind your cam, or by a new lobey one. if you grind your cam, make sure that it is heat treated or else it wont last more than 600 miles :bloated: you would also want to chip it, get a new multi-fire ignition coil. get some aggressive injectors. headers... um, i can't think of n/e more right now...
so, yeh.
