Okay... I just recently got into an accident with my 1995 civic... and the front is all ****ed up.. the bumper, headlights, fenders, hood, bumper reinforcement, etc.. I am about to replace all these parts, but i was wondering, since i need to buy the parts anyways, cant i just get all the 2000 civic parts and have them convert it? wouldnt it be the same price anyways, since the shop has to install the parts all over again? and this is my biggest question... exactly what parts are needed for this conversion? has anyone ever done this before? i want to know exactly what parts i'll need to complete this. thanks alot

i don't know all of the parts you need, but i was going to buy a 5th gen civic with a 99-00 front end and i asked the guy what he needed for the conversion. All i got out of him was you need the fenders, hood, front bumper and radiator support

the ej/ek front end won't bolt directly on an eg, if it were a 96 civic instead of a 95 it would convert, sorry to burst the bubble.

it won't bolt on of course, but you can make it work. Use the search function, and a while back Kicker1solo did a 6th gen front conversion on a 5th gen coupe and he had all the pics step by step and everything
Edit: i found if for you http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=76147&highlight=front+end+conversion it's not a how-to, but it's got some good pics. If you pm him he can probably help you out a lot

Quick how-to for you
Remove fenders, bumper cover, bumper, hood, and radiator support. To remove the radiator support you will need to drill out 100+ tiny spot welds, like this
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/p2c1725187e2ddb22bcdd8cedae1f844d/fcfce3f1.jpg
so then you'll have the whole front end off
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/p0527d13951457ebb09d09e73a3e860a4/fcfd1de9.jpg
so then you weld on the 2000 radiator support
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/paae0d58fb536087417e76b47d5c78cc2/fcfcb1da.jpg
make sure it ligns up with the hood and everything closes right
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/pa06a7e75282b16fad613f82de5e0edde/fcfcb1d9.jpg
after you get the radiator support welded on straight, the bumper, bumper cover, and lights will all bolt right on

Then comes the fun part, the fenders. You'll need to cut and weld a part of the 95 fender to part of the 00 fender. You can do it two ways, in the front or in the back of the stock fender. If you want the 00 body line in the fender then you can cut in the back of the fender like I did or if you don't want the body line in the fender then you cut out the front of the 95 fender (which I wish I would have done, but it wasn't up to me, up to the customer). So anyways, cut off whichever part you wanna do, front or back, and then do the same thing on the newer fender and weld the two together.

The reason why you need to cut and weld the fenders is because you need the back half of the 95 fender to match up with the door and you need the front half of the fender to lign up with the headlights and bumper.
Everything after that is body work and then paint.

Be sure to get some aftermarket headlights after you do this, it makes everything look 10 times better. :icon16:
oh yeah, and a list of 00 parts that you will need are

thats pretty nice... i agree though i think i would rather have the 92-95 fenders blended on at the front of the newer fenders instead of the back... the ridge on the newer one looks kind of out of place on that body, but still nice all the same!
