Favorite Simpsons Character

In relations to the Simpsons thread, what are your favorite characters from the show? Also if you would like to include your favorite guest star {ie actor/actress, athelete, band, etc.}

BTW, I have a good hypothesis about why they haven't made a movie yet. First of all have you noticed how popular cartoons like South Park have kinda fell off after their movie came out. Also, what the hell would it be about?

Fav Character: Hans Moleman

Fav Guest: I'll say Mel Gibson unless I remember someone else.

My abosolute favorite was the guy that Phil Hartman played Troy McLure (spelling?) you could consider him a guest star but he was in so many that i think he was part of the regular cast. im not too sure about guest stars, prolly the smashing pumpkins

my fave charater is maggie. the way she falls over cracks me up. you can never tell if shes going to or not then when you least expect it... also i like it when they do 'future' stories, they never let her speak. of course for that one time when they talked about why there wern't pictures of maggie in the home photo album cos homer had them all at work, at the end when shes in the cot and says 'daddy.'

I liked the episode where Mo changed his bar to Club M, and REM was the guest. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite guest star, however.

LiuBei, I think you're absolutely right. Matt Groening and others who pull the strings of the show have been wise enough not to mess with the formula, i.e. by making it more main stream in producing a motion picture. Motion pictures have marked the peak and then rapid descent of notables like Beavis and Butt-Head, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Jerky Boys, even... what's that kids' toy that was so popular a couple years ago? I'm completely blanking on it.. but I'm sure at least some of you know what I'm talking about... I think it originated in Japan. Anyway

homer is definitly the funniest character, however, the funniest thing i think ive ever heard anyone on that show say.....is when Ralph goes:
"i sleep in a drawer"......that line came out of no where. classic funny.

"my cats breath smells like cat food" :D:D

One of my all time favourite Simpsons episodes was the one with Aerosmith as guests with the Flaming Homer drinks. That's absolute classic!! :D :hehehe:

It's been so long since I have seen the Simpsons, but homers boss I believe Mr. Smithers ? For some reason that one sticks in my head.

I hope they make a Simpsons movie just to run it into the ground, when they decide to take it off the air. Not before though. My friends and I have discussed this before, and came to the same conclusion.

As for my favorite charachter...
That is a really hard question. That is harder than what is my favorite car, or what is my favorite beer, or which pipe is my favorite. I don't have a favorite. I guess maybe homer, or mayber ralph, or maybe police chief wiggum(sp). I really can't choose. That is what makes the simpsons the greatest show ever. The characters. So many good ones.
As for guest character, so many memories to choose from. I guess I would have to pick Cypriss Hill.

I would have to go with either Milhouse or Ralphie. Ralphie has the best lines, "Mrs. Hoover, my worm jumped into my mouth and i ate it, can i have another? No Ralphie, there aren't any more, just go to sleep while the other children learn. YAY, sleep, thats where i'm a viking!"

And yes, we all lover homer. "hey, where did you get the pie?' Window sill." And there is the old lady yelling at thim through the window. And when he chokes and dies on the piece of borcolli, gets sent back by St. Peter as a ghost, eats the same piece of brocolli and dies again. Too many other funny parts to name.


Some of the little characters are the best, the ones that only show up for one episode. The funniest one i can think of is the leprichaun (sp?) when homer gets cursed by the jypsie.

ok i lied i think i would have to vote for the mop..in the episode where homer buys a horse and they can't afford it.. marge throws some crackers to the mop in the kitchen.. it sucks them in and eats them.. lol it was awesome.. :lol2:

First is probably Moe Syslak

He's got so much rage and just general discontent, not to mention the random scenes where he draws a gun on someone. I just love his character though, especially with the prank phonecalls, that and thae fact that he reminds of quagmire (I'm guessing he was based off Moe) form one of my other favourite shows.

Second place goes to flanders, I just love how much abuse he takes and stills manages a top diddly dop attitude.

lol, the funniest part ever was when Edna Crabapple went to DisneyWorld becuz she got nominated for best teachers award and the Simpsons family got to go too, and then Homer and Bart were in the electric car ride and the car was talking and it said in a funny ass voice : "I'm an electric car. I don't go very fast...Or very far. And when you drive me, people will think your gay". LMAO LMAO LMAO!!!!
