Base Vs Type S?

ok, I asked someone if the only difference between the base and the type S was the engine and they said the whole car. now I am not sure if hes right or not but im guesing he is right cuz he usually has answers thta are right to my questions. so what all is different. cuz with the mone saved buying the base vs the type s be enough to boost the base model and smoke the type s wouldnt it. I did the autotrader side by side comparo and only thing i saw different was compression ratio, of course power, and the type s redlines higher im assuming adn the type s is 6 speed the base is a 5 speed. so is it the interior thats alot different.

all as you said different engine, different suspensions, auto vs manual different comprasion different interior.. leather vs cloth although u can add leather to base plus sunroof and bose 6 cd in dash is strandard on type s, its sport suspension tuned and better handling iam guessing

theres a manual on the base, its just not a 6 speed.

please tell me this what manual on the base... its auto with some sport shit, its like tipronic every car got that now, what a pos lol its for people who cant learn to drive manual, that thing just pissis me off

yes you can. 94tegRS is right, with the base RSX you can get a 5 speed manual transmission. Some people just prefer a manual transmission and don't have the extra dough to spend on the type-s.

Can you read? Did I say that the type-s has an auto transmission? I just find it humorous how you (by your statement) picked the type-s over the base RSX merely becuase of its different gearbox.

I was just wondering if "cum-par-shun"(comparsion) is supposed to be compression. I read it in your first reply, then again, and I kept reading comparison and was like WTF, the cars have different comparisons?

well, in this thread you said compression twice, and both times it was wrong, not even a common mistake like one s or at least thinking its compreshun or something, but comparsion and comprasion. looks WAY more like comparison than compression, that and you didnt mispell much else in this whole thread and if you did its miss one letter or a different letter that would phenetically(I know i mispelled that one) give a similar sound.
