Progress: STI WRX Yellow!

Well im giving the sil80 and onevia a rest for a week or so and i thought i would finish the WRX, this certainly isnt one of my favourite cars but i guess i have to finish it.

Painted with tamiya yellow, lowed with workmeister rims. Still needs a good polish.

Dont see them done in yellow very much, but i have to say it looks very nice. The rims blend in well with the rest of the car too

I painted the lights black....thought it would be diff. I still need to paint the window rubbers black but will do that in a few days.

The car was lowed by cutting the suspension arm and then re-glued back. The rear i had to re-drill the whole for the shaft to slot through though.

Will keep you updated on the rest.

Very nice - didn't think the Scooby would look so good in yellow.

That looks great. Love that yellow on the Subaru. Everything just looks like it should be that way.

It`s great! Maby you should tint those rearlights to go with the black headlights...

I think it's perfect as-is, nice colour, good taste for cars, in the whole a fab. model. and will be even better when done.

I'd recommend painting the walls around the foglamps black, but after that, I say GOOD JOB!! :D :D

Made it a Kansai STI, Painted the rims flat aluminium in the centre.

Now here is the problem. I think it looks way to bland in the rear end. Should i add a rear wing? personally im not to sure...i like the STI wingless.

Any ideas? :)

I'm sorry to say, I perfered it without the decals which is strange as I love to see them on most models.
Other than that, it's great, nice paint etc.

Don't add a wing. IMO, I think that'll ruin the whole look of the car.

i think it looks great, also think you should just put the standard wing one too. will look good in black.

Nest step will be to go get some off-cuts of window tint and tint the windows.

Is there a way to do the window rubbers without a air brush? At the moment i cant affored one.

its all in the FAQ mate. Tape the edges, cut off the bits that hang over the rubber, and then paint it with two or three coats of enamel.

Oh, and one thing, just incase you forget, paint the inside of the muffler black. Makes it look a lot better.

p.s. did you add the big brakes, or are they part of the kit? The brakes are the second thing that caught my eye after the paint of course...

Im going to my LHS today to get some paint for the window trim. :)

i think a nice low non-GT-wing in black would look nice
