i just realised there is no dauer section on the board. :screwy:. aftr al they do have the dauer eb110ss evolution. basically for those who dont know, its a bugatti eb110ss, but with dauer badgers and carbon fibre body and all these otehr perforance enhancements done to it to make it more "modern" to our kinda standards these days. jochen dauertook the car to compete in the 2001 or 2002 supercar rally in france a few years ago.

That is exactly why this forum is here... For cars that aren't well-known or not 'big' enough to have their own forum. If you think a car is worth talking about but doesn't have its own forum, discuss it here.

when you talk about Dauer you can't forget to mention their awesome 962 LM, that thing is a beast, 750 hp with only 2381 lbs. it can go from 0-60 mph in 2.6 sec and has an estimated top speed of 250 mph

Da, it is quite a beast. I know that RUF and Brabus are considered manufacturers in Germany, anyone know if Dauer has achieved that status. I mean if they haven't they certainly deserve it.

btw, how many 962's were made and are they still being produced? I'm also assuming that the 962 LM handles like a true race car, right?

here it says that they don't know how many were actually built, but that Mr. Dauer said he could only make 50
as for the handling, since its basically a Porsche 962 endurance racer slightly altered for road use, and that race car was extremely successful, winning Le Mans 6 times, it should have very good handling

hahaha, right after i posted that i saw on the Dauer webpage that they've only sold 13

Well, 13 is not only a lucky number, but it is also a fairly high production run when this car is in the league (okay beyond it) of the F1 LM or GTR, CLK GTR and the never produced TVR Speed 12.

yea, there were only 3 F50 GTs made, 5 F1 Lms, and a surprising 25 CLK GTRs, so 13 is high for a car that can beat all of those

Also, again not knowing squat about the 962LM, this car was a total remake of the original 962 right? THat is, Dauer took the idea of the 962 but built their own chassis, enigne everything. Or did they really take 962s and modify them. If they did, those things must also exceed the price fo the F1 LM and CLK GTR.

i believe they did take the 962s and modify them, but surprisingly they sold them for a relatively low price of $800,000 compared to the F1 LMs and CLK GTRs, which i believe were both over 1 mil
