Transmission problems need help asap

having difficulty with transmission gears arent shifting properly and the reverse lights stay on no matter what , can anyone help what could the problem be ?

first off, what is the trim line and year on the car and is it an auto or manual? the reverse light problem could be a few things, theres a wire that connects to your transmission that controls that, check to make sure if they are broken, corroded, or anything. there should be 3-4 electrical connections off the tranny, check each one because i dont which it would be. try that and post what you saw if anything.
