76 GT wiring problems need help

Hey i got a 76 GT with a 20R motor AT it will only start half the time i ran totally new wires to the new starter and it still does it any ideas? and what kind of potential does this engine have if any?

hey it may not be just the wires it could be the starter when ur turnin it over listen for a clicking noise that normally means u have power to the silnoid(or however u spell that part). if no clicking then u need new silnoid. but if that's the case u still need new starter so ur bummin either way on that

could be a bad ground for the battery also. the battery is grounded to the fender and after a while it could come loose or rust build up.. just clean it up real good and a new bolt and nut to secure it in place. a bad ground fried the entire electrical system on my 79
