Overhead console

Can I just add an overhead cosole to my 99 sierra? It currently has the little one with the light & the empty space. If so will the instruments work like , DTE, Temp etc or what do I have to do?

I don't know the answer, but probably your best bet is to buy a manual and check the wiring diagrams. Then again, isn't everything on these trucks controlled via computer and two wires?
