i know with my honda prelude i can stick wires in the thing and the lights on the dash will blink a amount of times then match that number with the code , can anyone tell me how to get the code out of a 98 eclipse rs? without any equipment... and if i can where can i find the codes? thanks for any help.
also i disconnected the battery because i just bought the car and figured it might have had work done and they didnt reset the ecu, when i reconnected the neg. batt terminal the light was off... till the next day.

There is something similar you can do with 1Gs, but I dont think so for 2g, and I have no idea about the chrysler ECU. But most autoparts stores are offering free code reading these days. They know that 90% of the time its an O2 sensor, and you'll end up buying it from them.

Turn the key from the OFF to ON position quickly three times, and leve it at the ON postion, the CEL willl flash the code for you.

Thats the 1g trick, but I doubt it works on the NT 2Gs. If it does let me know.

Thats the 2G NT trick, beacsue its a Chysler. The 1G trick is to use the analog ohmeter on 2 pins in the ALDL
