How long before the glue is set?

Right now I am using Testors glue in the orange tube. How long before you think it is set enough to sand a little, or start working with the pieces? Should 15 minutes be good?

I'm only ever used Tamiya glue, but 15-30 minutes sounds fine

When my testors stuff runs out I'll be trying that Tamiya glue. The friggin testors always give me those stupid strings of glue its so annoying!! :mad:

I think they tube says that it should set in about a hour but will fully cure in 24 hours...or I'm just talking out of my ass. :D

BTW Pee.Man. is that the liquid glue that you apply to the seam and it leaches in? Or can you apply it directly to the part and stick them on?

Give it a good while before you start sanding. A couple hours, at least. Plastic glue melts the plastic so the parts fuse together, and it takes a while for the plastic to re-harden. It may be softer than it looks for about a day.

Sorry Jason, i'm a bit lost as to what you mean.

With the testors crap I put a little glue on each part and stick them together. I've heard with the Tamiya you put the parts together first then touch a tooth pick or something with the glue on it, to the part and the glue will sort of seep between the parts. :confused: Maybe I don't know WTF I'm talking about.
