OK, fellaz, I need your input on this:

What is the best set of springs for the Max?

Eibach, H&R? Others?

I'm looking for a 2" drop on the front and at least a 1.4 preferrably 1.5 on the back.

Is 2" even safe on the front for our vehicles?

There are so many choices for springs just looking for the best ones that will let me keep my stock ride quality plus lower my vehicle so that it looks hott sitting on my 18's.

What do you guys think? Chime in, I need everyones opinion.

Thanks 99, I just read someone's post over at maxima.org regarding the Teins. I'll check out southwest and see what they got going on.

That is exactly the drop I was looking for.

How much do you think it'll cost to put the springs on?

Put the springs on yourself. Its easy. well, at least it was for me. Good chance to get some guys over and have some beers if nothing else.

They do? So how is the ride, is it harsh or harsher than the Teins or the Eibachs? Also are sprints known to sag?

From what I've heard Teins offer the lowest possible drop and from the pics I've seen over at the org the Teins looked lower than the Sprints when they lined up the two nose to nose to see which one was lower.

Have you rode on the others or have you seen the others on a Max and did a comparison on drops and ride quality?

Lower isn't always better. I've never ridden in another max with any suspension mods. I've got Sprints, and they are not harsh. They are stiff, but i wouldn't call them harsh. Do I like it? very much so. I wouldn't trade back to stock for anything.

I wasn't saying lower means better, the reason I was saying lower and you should all know this being Max owners is because the front of the Max sits higher than the rear and it up in the air like an SUV or something.

I just can't see sitting on 18's without the tire/rims looking like they don't fill up the wheelwell, so therefore I'm looking for the lowest possible drop that will still retain some of the stock ride quality and not sag or be harsh in the process, plus I just luv the aggressive look of a lowered Max.

I think I've convinced myself to go with the Teins even though Eibach has a better reputation.

Thanks guys for all of your input and suggestions.

I had sprints and later sold them, but they felt pretty good on the max. The ride was stiff do to the 19" rim/tire combo I had. The drop was awesome, but I did ghetto it a bit :icon16:

I have no idea what is offered for the Maxima now, or how they feel.

I know Teins are top quality as far as ride/performance on RX-7s.

Maybe look into some coilovers, that's an idea...

Really? Mine is the opposite. We do have different gens though. I was unaware of that with 5th gens.
