I'm back. I was out on the west coast for work fo the last 2 weeks. Heres a quick update before I start to catch up on all these threads... :)

Well, I made it over to the AWD dyno 2 weeks ago for the NEDSM dyno day. Due to a slipping 2600, I dcided to run pump gas (93). Second pull was 400 WHP, but AF ratio was completely screwed (the curve, not the number). It was way too lean in the 5-6k range causing knock for the whole pull, then falling too rich from 6-8k. I believe its due to the latest version of the MAF translator that I have (the one good to 6000 Hz). After 7 runs it was close but still wacked, and the car was too heat soaked to make any good runs.

But at least I know what is the problem, and thats going to be addressed this week. I'm first going to check again for boost leaks. I blew some vac lines off on the dyno. Then I am going to put the stock MAS back on to try to dial in the new injectors (FIC 850s, also changed the day before the dyno). Then I Can put the GM MAF back on and try to calibrate the new software to the stock MAS again. Then this weekend I'm borrowing my buddys wideband to try to get AF ratio closer, the curve not the actual value. BTW, he put down 500 whp on a stock block, so add him to the growing list. ;) SBR is going to lend me a clutch so I can make a last ditch effort to get kicked out of the track before it closes this month (11.49 requires a cage).

I was also informed that my car is in the latest issue of Modified Mag, page 104 I believe, picture number 4. Sweet

Kevin,

First off, congrats man 400whp on pump is solid. If you don't mind my asking, what is your current set-up? Also, when you did your pulls, what boost were you running and how much timing advance were you seeing up top?

Just trying to get a feel for what kind of power my car is putting down on pump as well.

Thanks man,
-Jacob

Thanks :) My setup can be found at www.posracing.net. Its too much to list. The short version is 272s, GT30/40 hybrid, and DSMlink. I was at 25 psi on my guage, and 26 on their presure sensor. Timing was zeroed out, so the ECU gave its max of 16 degrees when I got past the knocking. A correct AF ratio curve and the same 16-17 degrees should be 425 or so.

An update on tracking the issues down... I did a leak test, and it passed. 10 to 0 psi takes at least 5 full minutes. I put the stock MAS on, and I'm seeing 45 lbs/min instead of 47-48. After I validate that (make sure its not just reduced because of the restrictive stock MAS and old filter), it would explain the AF ratio curve I saw for sure. In fact, the airflow curve is VERY different on the stock MAS. One thing down, once I recalibrate that tonight. But for some reason, despite having 60 psi base fuel pressure with the hose on (255 lph), my fuel trims are still positive. My settings are normal for 850s. They should be pegged negative (and they used to be). Intake leak has been ruled out, but it could still be the O2 sensor. Still open to ideas on that one though...
