Here is a question for you guys. i have been thinking of engine swaps. My thoughts are the sr20det, rb20det, or leaving stock and doing mods. I want to keep the car as close to the 50-50 balance it starts with so then i can possible road coarse race it.

...sigh. dude, get a prelude. the aftermarket is bigger than it is for a 240, it starts out with 200 horses(VTEC version does anyways), and in 92 they came with F1-based suspension.
its all you need kid; lots of power, cheap, handles well, safe, reliable. go for it. Thats Prelude VTEC. not 240sx.

yea, but everyone and there mother has a prelude or any other fricken honda. I dont want horsepower though, i want a good track car. Secondly, to get a new prelude i would have to give up my arm and leg for a newer one. If i was doing that i would just by a supra.

supra would actually be a lot more then a 92 prelude, but what are you going to do when you put a rb25 in your 95 240sx.

I assume he will drive it...and if you just want a fast car then I would look for an older 240sx and do a good swap...a lot of auto-x type racing won't allow engine swaps so you might be better off just modifying the stock ka or looking for a different car altogether.

So the older 240sx are fast cars. I was thinking of getting early 90 coupe if i can find one. That or find a 1995 or something a little newer. Also where can i find the rules or regulations for most racing events. Do i have to go to the race track.
