No heat

My van blows cold air when the temp is turned to hot. I tried replacing the thermostat, bleeding the air out of the system (although I don't know if I did it correctly, I kept opening the two bleeders while the engine was running and the thermostat was open), and looked under the dash and noticed a rotor turning when I change the heat setting from hot to cold. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Todd

the lever that changes it from hot to cold has a cable that goes to a valve connected to the heater hose under the hood if it's not fliping that lever over then you wont get any heat. most of the time you can pop the hood and flip that lever over with your hand. My car did that. When I would flip the lever over I would get good heat but if anyone inside the car pushed the control back over to cold, the lever under the hood would move back to the cold position it just wouldn't change back to hot from inside the car

First check and see if both heater hoses are getting hot. If so than coolant is flowing through the heater core and you have a temp door problem.
If one hose is hot and the other cold than most likely you have a restriction in the heater core or an air pocket in the cooling system.
Disregard the above post, your vehicles inside temperature is controlled by a temp door inside the heater case.

If you have no heat but air is blowing.check all of your heater settings (Defrost, upper and lower vents) and see if you can change them. If non of them work or it seems to go back.Check the heater control switch (under glove box.Mounted to air duct) This switch it air activated and can stick. I found on at the junk yard for $20. Fixed my problem. Hope it helps you.

The switch is air activated (you'll see a bunch of clear tubes). And I found one at the junk yard for $20.........Sorry about the mistakes
