Hey there!
Not sure about the flames part but what I and most of my friends that have an EVO VI, VII have replaced the down pipe, cat eliminator, the rear muffler and the piping between the cat and the rear muffler all with HKS or Apaxi stainless steel. Another friend did the same but with a JUN system. Then we installed a suction kit replacing the original air box. Just these things would give you about 40 - 45 bhp allowing you to easly kick an M3 or M5's butt and most fast cars on the road. Mind you the cat eliminator is illigal for road use in the USA. Here are some sites you could order from which we use and some are in Japan but deliver anywhere with excellent service. I have also put a link of a Black Evo VII here who has tuned it to about 500 bhp and runs racing fuel. Have fun

Bah, not another one of these. First of all, I don't even think the stock 4g63 can handle 500+ horses haha, MAYbE about 400-450 but thats pushing it without and mods to the block. Anyways, you can't trust these things about "500+ bhp on HKS upgrade!" and even if they boasted that much power all that really counts is wheel horsepower, just because you make 500 at the flywheel doesn't make you mega fast. Did you notice in the DVD how Craig Lieberman never even mentioned anything about how much the car made off the rollers? He kept stating on how they even tested it on the dyno and he didn't even post numbers. Anyways, you don't need to have big numbers for a fast car.

Exactly my point.
vf23 obviously u know nothing about the EVO engin plus u can't even read. I said that the simple mods we made (and i've mentioned) produced about 345hp only! The black EVO with the pic on the other hand, I have not spoken of it's mods, has 500hp on dyno test. We have an evo modified by JUN who's link i have posted has 550hp.

read what? you never mentioned making 345? Of course once you start mendling inside the engine you can reach high numbers, but for just bolt on kits im saying.

Yup, I second that, U R lucky. Just be careful as a stock EVO is wild enough, let alone some mods.

hehehehe well 40-45 hp more totals to approximatly 345hp to the stock 305hp right? But U R absolutly right about bolt ons, u can only get so much. I might chip mine to squeeze a bit more out of it but doubt i can go more than 360 (if lucky).
I'll let u know

for an ECU ecutek works very well for a real high performance vehicle.

ECU upgrades are a must in my opinion once you have more power with your bigger turbos and intercoolers and bigger injectors and what not your going to have to remap your car so you have the right a/f mixtures and what not.
