Hi,
Just started working again on an old project whilst I wait on parts for my RX-8. It's an A31 Cefiro ATTESSA Cruising - the High Power Unit kit from Aoshima with the engine. I've started constructing a custom bodykit for the car, a FMIC (front mount intercooler for the newbi'z), among other bits such as R34 GT-R front seats and a Manual conversion. I've put one coat of paint on the bonnet to give you an idea of the colour. I've got to put another coat on then beging compound/wax treatment. The bodykit is still in early stages but shouldn't take long to complete due to simplicity. I'm using AVS Model 5 18" wheels and the paint is Tamiya Mica red. It should be finished soon - Stay tuned!

Yay! A Cefiro! I've always been curious about the powerplant in this kit (i.e. Is it actually worth buying the kit to get the engine for doing GTS-M Skylines and such?)
Can't wait to see more.

As with most Aoshima kits i've seen - the engine is kind of only half an engine. It wouldn't be easily transplantable into another car without it looking pretty dodgy/basic. The top of the engine etc stick onto the top of a plastic block which is in the engine bay... the engine itself is not a separate unit as such
you get what i mean??

Oh, and it's only an RB20DET, So it's only good for R32 GTSt and that's about it....

Bummer. Although R32 GTS's were what I was speaking of. I suppose I'd have to transplant the upper half onto a fairly non-descript four-cylinder block to get some semblance or reality.
Thanks for the tip.

 That is going to be a beautiful model! Especially when it sits on those Model 5's. Keep us posted.

Well in a fit rage, built up from being fed up with the way i've constructed the kit from the beginning, i ripped the styrene sheeting and putty off the rear bar, and removed the front lip. I've decided to scrap the skirts, just leave the slightly modded front bar, and a smoothed over rear bar, and slam it on it's guts. I just want to see this damn thing finished I'm sick of seeing it sitting around. I don't know if I have enough putty left to finish the rear bar today, but will get more within the next 1-2 days. ETA for the finished car is Saturday-Sunday sometime if all goes to plan :D
