I have had this kit for a while, it was one of the second I built, so being the second I must admit it didn't come out too well (brush painting? :disappoin ) well, needless to say it has been stripped back and started again.
So far the mods are:
-Wider rear wheels, and skinnier front wheels from '64 Fairlane.
-V8 blown engine from (64?) Ford Flipnose kit. (anybody know what type of engine it is?)
- Slightly lowered at the back.
-Interior Flocked.
-Roll cage to go in back window.
Well what more can I say? Here are the pics.

The Ford Flipnose truck actually has a blown Chevy 350 (booo!) so it's a bit of a bummer for your blown Mustang project. However, depending on what kits you have access to, here's some fine swap suggestions to avoid the Bowtie boredom.
Polar Lights "Gas Ronda" or "Blue Max" funny car kits: Blown 427 Cammer with your choice of Hilborn or Enderle injector scoop and has vinyl blower belt w/ separate pulleys. Kit also has an excellent blown fuel Hemi so it can still be built. Plus there are three sets of period wheels to use and marvelous Slixx decals.
Revell Austin Drag coupe: Hilborn injected 427 Cammer. Injector stacks are just as sweet as blowers.
Revell 1969 Shelby GT500: 428 Cobra Jet with twin four-barrel carbs and massive tunnel-ram intake. Plus there's a nice set of Centerline wheels. Should be a drop-in into the Boss 1970 kit.
That's the ones I can think of off the top of my head that are in production. Hope it helps.

looks good. ive built the 56' flipnose AMT ford pickup. i can telll you this, it sure doesnt have a 350chevy, considering that the booklet even said it had a 460CJ bbf. I don't know if thats the truck you got the motor from or not, but if it is, thats a bbc, not a dbc. look at the size of the heads, compare with a chevy smallblock(if you have one on hand), and check the exhaust. any ford v8 came with equally spaced exhaust ports, whereas the sbc had the two midlle ports next to each other.

No, it wastes a perfectly good Chevy motor, in a piece of crap. It makes it run longer though!!! :lol2:

Well Jonno, what can I say, it's good to see your finally building some muscle and posting it too, pity it is a Ford
It is looking really good by the pictures though! I have that Flipnose model coming over and I want to put the engine into the Tweedy Pie 2 T bucket :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
I just started on my Superbee and Superbird again, because I'm missing a few things needed for the Monte Carlo, like back light lens' :uhoh: I might post some pictures of the Superbee later, I'm on a slower computer at the moment so I can't do it as quick, and I don't have much patience.
Keep the muscle coming!!!! :smokin:

yeah, what a waste of motor in such a pos. My F-150 which has a 351 Windsor droped a piston and smashed a spark plug. Havent had a bowtie do that to me yet. :)

Thanks for the comments everybody. I am thinking of painting it TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue. I will probably keep this engine, because muscle car engines aren't exactly something that I have a lot of (and I have already wired it :icon16: ).

Looks like an awesome build, just get some tiny blue ford logos made up for the rocker covers :naughty: I'll have to remember those kits for the next time I'm looking for a big bad blown ford.

Hey Jonno, when that Alfa gets here and I send her down I might chuck a few spare V8s in if I got enough of them ok?

Thanks for the comments guys. Today I painted a coat on the interior, modified the Fan belt to fit the supercharger drive belt, painted the roll cage, front bumper and the rear bumper all silver.

Ehh, the rocker covers already say Weland, I guess the aftermarket brand is better :uhoh: And, I wouldn't really bother putting that much money into a ford... ;)

I do believe you mean WEIAND, it's really an i, just so you know; Weiand makes the supercharger on that motor.

Ohh, now that I look closer, I agree. I must of mistaken the Capital I for a lowercase l.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Since I took the last pictures I added a dipstick on the engine. I plan on adding a battery to the engine bay and wiring the (master cylinder?) on the firewall, but is there anything else I should add?
Nice work dude, coming together a bit slowly there but it's worth the time you're taking.
Thanks, I usually work faster than this but the project was put away for a little while, when I was working on other kits.

I might, although if I do, the battery would be out of sight in the trunk. I am not trying to go for a full drag car, just a street legal car with fats thrown on it, and the bonnet taken off when it is at the drags. The blower doesn't really stick that far out of the bonnet when it is on, so I am assuming that it is street legal. (I think the rules here are something like the engine can't come out past half of the height from the hood to the roof).

Oh, ok. Well, I've see plenty street cars with a relocated battery. In fact, I'm thinking of relocating mine.
