ok first of all. i never went to see it in the theater, just bought the dvd today. AND, i know im going to get "there are a million threads on this already" well, who the hell wants a 2 month old thread brought up that is already filled with posts.

Now onto my opinion. In the first one, it was kind of a joke, they pretty much riced all they could. because there is almost more ricers than racers. and the ricers tend to be younger, and more movie going people.

However, seeing the second one, i am greatly impressed. i didnt catch and double second gears, any win a 1/4 mile by an inch or a mile (who the hell accidentally gets stuck in reverse?) any motec system exhaust. or nissan engines in hondas. i was impressed, the acting was not all that bad, and this one had a story. the cars were alright, i know SCC tested themand just kind of laughed.... but they had been beaten to hell and back.

but what really grabbed me is the respect for domestics to a certain degree. at first i saw the saleen mustang get crunched and i thought my god not this shit again. now i think everyone knows that the vette and viper would most likely of been miles ahead on the highway. but that is beside the point. later on when they race the Charger and camaro for slips, they know they cant win. we know they cant win. And that impressed me. they understood that a musclecar is from an era where there wasnt 50 million rules on your exhaust system alone. hence, they dont stand a damn chance. Plus how often do you see a Hemi charger get beaten? or even see a yenko for that matter? never lol.

The movie more or less showed more about driving skills. brians Skyline wasnt amazingly faster than the supra, actually wasnt faster at all. to bad that car wasnt in the show longer eh?

To cap it all off, this movie was a huge huge huge improvement over the last, more related to performance, while still keeping the show car look. not giving a steriotype saying "Anything non jap is a piece of
Sh!T" and i respect that. much better movie. no slip ups. and obviously a much smarter and more observational director. I didnt really care for the first, and Nawzzzzz to hell. but i like the second.

For the love of all that is greasy... 2Fast2Furious's mopar of choice was a Challenger!

Fast & Furious had the Charger.

Other than that... I agree.

im w/ u too.

i HATED how they tried to show our "world" of street racing, and act like it was a legit movie when they were SOOOOOOO far off.

the 2nd they actually realized they were hollywood an stuck to that. which made it a LOT more entertaining.

hated paul walkers acting again, an the two main cars (the evo an spyder) were both a bit riced out w/ their alum. wings, but other than that, i actually enjoyed it.

I liked how the new nitrous sponsor was Nitrous Express, and not Nitrous Oxide Systems. I don't think I heard the word "Nawwzzz" at all, but rather the phrase "sprayed".

i see people makin fun of the movie on this forum all the time, and i didnt think it was that bad. yes it was a corny/bad representation of the worl of street racing, and ALL the cars were ricers, but overall as a MOVIE it wasnt bad, entertaining.not great but entertaining.

i hated that eclipse spyder. i hate it i hate it i hate it!!! during the file shoot, it even didn't have any kind of forced induction, and he was still riding on stock brakes. anyways, all the other cars were cool, yes even that pink S2k. overall the movie was good. but it was less memorable then the first one. hahah the first one had alot of funny one liners. thats why i love it. it may not be a better movie but i thought it was alot funnier.

i think F@F had the more "realistic" racing than 2F2F. i like the cars and all, but think about it, a REALLY nice show car racing? i havent seen that where i live, jus ricers with stolen body kits and parts. A skyline...who would race a Skyline GTR R34, thats modded pretty good? well..i wouldnt. i got the DVD too, the "turbocharged prelude" of it was cool..i guess...i give both movies 4/10. i kno street racers laghed when they saw the actors use NOS, and made them look like they were goin into the future. lolz...o well, its jus a movie.
