getting grand am out of park

I have a grand am and the engine is not working, I need to get it out of park so that I can push it into the driveway. Any ideas?

Have you tried puting in the key and turning it to accessories?(the turn just before the starter) This should allow your car to shift to nutrel and then u can push it from there. However if your battery is dead this won't work, you'll first have to charge the battery.
