help needed choosing chips

I see alot of diffrent chips like the mugen,spoon,etc. chips on ebay and i also hear of more expensive ones you can find elsewhere and then there are piggybacks which i havent heard much anything good about. Can anyone give me advice for buying a chip for my 93 integra ls i have i/h/e

I prefer lays chips. Old dutch are good too. Doritos are pretty cheesy.

Don't waste your money. They really don't do anything for your car. In order for a chip to acomplish anything good it has to be programed for your car and the person programing it has to tune the car with the chip. Just mas produced chips are crap!

If not a chip than whats my next mod besides turbo,supercharge,nitrous.
I do not want to dump a huge amount of $ into the car considering it is a 93 i just want to give it a few more small mods. Are pulleys worth it?

you dont want to dump a lot of money into the car, but you are going to buy a turbo/supercharger? where i come from, $2,000 is a lot of money, i dont know about you..
how about YOU decide what your next mod is going to be instead of asking people you dont even know how to fix your car. do a little research. do some web searches. find out what can be done to a car to improve horsepower and throttle response.

Let's get back on topic before the flame war starts.
I'm going to do I/H/E on my 91 Integra. I understand that you can solder a socket into the ECU that lets you swap chips quickly.
Some of the "chips" I've seen on eBay are actually just resistors. I was browsing through feedback for some of these, and that was one of the complaints: instead of a mod chip, buyers received a simple resistor that could have been purchased at Radio Shack for $1.50.
Having the socket would let me swap chips when I want change from hauling ass to getting good mileage on a long trip.
Since Honda is always leaning towards economy, sacrificing performance, I can see where a mod chip would let you easily get more performance, at the cost of wasting more fuel.
I'd like to hear from people who have bought and installed mod chips, please.

What he was tring to tell you was that your answer vcould have easily been answered by a simple search of the AF database. Anyway the chip deal is crap!!! Trust me!! It is a waste of money. Yes hp can be gained by chipping a ecu but the chips on ebay cannot gaine the hp that a custom programed chip can. I have a friend that bought a chip off ebay and we installed it and then drove the car and it was detonating. I pulled the chip, and pulled the bin off of it and it had obserd amounts of advanced timming and the fuel was cut down and not up! I fyou want to risk destroing your motor or having a gas hog then go ahead, but if you really want a good chip then check out uberdata. it takes some time to learn about it but it is fairly simple and you can do alot with it. And best of all the program is free, all yopu have to buy is a eprom programer which can be had for $60 and the chip and resitors etc all cheap less than $10 all together. :2cents:
