Info I would like to know if any of you would know how much it would cost me to turbo charge my 2002 Mr 2 spyder. I have the sequencial transmition. I can see that the enging is rather easably assesable. compared to the last cars ive owned. I am guesing it would cost around 3 g's but i've never turboed a car. I was also wondering why dont they make a forced air induction that doesnt runn off the motor. such as an electric powered fan!. turn it on with a switch and it will increase strength with the rev.

What would happen if I hooked up a squirl fan to the air intake and hooked up the squirl fan to an electrical switch and fliped it on during revs above 3,000 to red line?

What would I have to do other than slaping on a turbo to my car. what engine mods would I have to do if I was going to run 8 psi or 9 psi. I think I might need a intercooler and thats it I dont know.

Any sugestions on what to go to the turbo shop with and what to tell them to do to my car. I want to get the intake manifold bigger and get a bigger cam but I dont know if its the best thing to do with my money (limited).

Cost to buy a turbo is about $3500+. If you get it installed and tuned properly, expect to spend $5000 or so. There are no superchargers available at this time, and none actually in development, although there are several companies/people that have mentioned they are "looking into it". I would not hold my breath. If you keep the boost low, you most likely won't need to do anything to the internals of the engine. If you go higher on the boost, then yeah, you are looking at more money. I am not an nexpert on this, but am a regular at www.spyderchat.com and there are turbo owners there that can provide much better information than I can. Be warned - if you visit, read and search first - your question has been asked a thousand times and there is plenty of information for you.

Monkey Wrench Racing sells and installs the PE turbo for the Spyder - it's the best kit, in my opinion, and what I would put on my car.
