Ok, got a 1992 honda civic 1500cc 16 valve fuel injected engine and I mistakenly reversed the wires when attempting to jump the car. Now all I have is brake lights and horn; no headlights, no starting of the engine no nothing. I replaced the 80 amp fuse under the hood that was blown and checked all fuses in under the hood and under the dash . any suggestions???? I thought that there might be a fusible link somewhere but can not find it. where do I start. from a wiring diagram it looks like the 80amp circuit goes to the electronic load dectector. is that the computer? if the computer was unplugged wouldnt you still get headlights and juice to the engine? Help..

I take it you mean you reversed(neg cable to pos post, post cable to neg post) the jumper cable wires when you jumped your car but they were attatched properly to the other car? I've seen it done before and it caused both batteries to explode. If the cables had been reversed on both cars then you shouldn't have any problem at all. The only thing I can really suggest is to take it to a shop that knows what they're doing if your at your wits end.

Make sure your battery is still good, I doubt it is, but there's always a chance.
