constant warning tone in 98 olds might have to kill myself

Please Help I'm going insane because my car won't stop bonging at me. I love my car, but if this continues I will either have to be admitted to a mental hospital or run my car off a cliff. Here is the problem.

Three days ago for no apparent reason my parking brake light came on and the bonging started, not bonging beer but the chime in my car. This is what i have done to fix it.

1. I cut the wire that montiors my parking brake and should be the wire that sends the message to the computer that the brake is on. No juice the bonging did not stop

2. So my little sister and myself diagnosed the problem and decided to get to the heart of the problem and pull out the fuses. We pulled the one that goes directly to the chime cluster and no juice. The sound won't stop.

Please help

Could you let us know how to fix the problem or at least how to take out the little speaker that makes the sound.

Wayyyyy up under the dash over the glove compartment is a small black box called an alarm module. That is your problem. Replace it. About 90 bucks. My low fuel light almost got to me......
