that's not street legal (only for track), but get one from here, near the bottom of the page http://www.customracer.com/cavalier_exhaust.html they are fairly cheap. it would be great for street racing since you can open and close it from the inside. i was going to get one for the z but found out it wouldn't be good cause i'd lose the torque that makes my car.
as far as exhaust goes, an apexi n1 will be too small (2.5") for 400hp. i have a 300hp engine and tomorrow im getting a custom bent 3" exhaust with straight pipe magnaflow muffler... if you're pushing 275hp+ you should really have 3" piping.

back off! the DD is mine! :nono: :screwy:
it's definitley a good exhaust, but i'd also recommend Blitz Nur-Spec, or RS*R. they make excellent systems.
oh, btw, turbo2nr, PLEASE don't start with the abbreviations and mis-spellings again. IE "noe", "dis", "jus" and "taught". is it really that hard to type one more letter? all of those words are just one letter shorter then the actual word, and a few letters changed around. come on man, do us all a favour and don't be that lazy.

Allright, thanks. Now I have a couple other questions though... Does the electric cutout really help that much or does it just make it obnoxiously loud with little or no actual performance gain? What are the side effects of using an electric cutout.....spitz7985, you said something about losing torque?? Thanks again everyone.

the NUR Spec has about the deepest sound and capable for the most HP or a Apexi GT Spec....

make your own anus out of your car
ask a shop to do 2.75 or 3 inch straight through (or if u want a cat), and a flowmaster at the end
loud and deep
i have a flow on my car with no resonator

yes you lose torque (or so i heard) because there is no piping there... its all open. torque is helped with smaller piping and etc.
anyways i dont have money for an opencutout now.. :sly:
if you have the money get it.

also, check your exhaust manifold before you put on a new exhaust. you can kill two birds with one stone.
just went to put on my new exhaust today, and the guy putting it on noticed two large cracks in both of my exhaust manifolds. this means i get to put shorties on :evillol: also found out that there is a bend in my current exhaust that is about 2" in diameter - this means i had a 2" exhaust all the time. a 14.3 on 2" exhaust??? can't wait to get the full 3" on with the hedder shorty headers.
