it wont start

i just installed a b20 in my 90 teg and it wont start it cranks over sounds like it wants to but just doesnt, my downpipe isnt conected to the exhaust manifold and i dont have the alternator hooked up
it just thows flames someone please HELP! by the way i used my exsisting intake,exhaust,and my dist. what can it be ?

are you sure you have the right firing order? also, do you have the ground hooked up from the frame to the spot on the tranny? just some ?'s that i thought id ask. If i think of anything else, ill post it up.

ive got 4321 from the distriburator to the driver side motor mount and 1234 in a clockwise order starting with the 1 on the bottom left of the distriburator, is this correct?

the firing order is 1-3-4-2. #1 is the one on the bottom, closest to the firewall (if that makes sense). If you are looking at it from the passenger fender, make sure you wire them clockwise. The plug closest to the driver side motor mount is the # 1. So if you are lookin at it from left to right, its 4-3-2-1. Sorry for the confusion and i hope that helped.

thanks alot, that was it!, the firing order was wrong now all i need now is a axle and i get to go for a test drive
