Hello,
I have a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier 4-Door. I am just wondering if the any other car's seats would fit in the car. For example, my old camaro I used to have was able to fit any year camaro or firebird seats. Im just wondering if there is another car that would have seats that would fit in this car.

Any year J body should be a straight bolt in.

it depends on the seat mounts. u might have to take the mounts out of a camaro and bolt them to the floor of your cavalier. u could also try using universal seat mounts if u can't get ahold of any camaro mounts.

camaros aren't j-bodies.

Why camaro seat mounts? J body seats in a J body shouldn't need F body parts!

Hello,
When i was talking about the camaro...that was my OLD car. The reason I brought it up was because I know with that car any F-Body could have ANY F-Body seat and have it just bolt in. And my question here is though....
If I wanted to take a seat out of another car (any car)...lets say out of like a nissan or acura or something. Can I take the seat and put it in my cavy (as long as the acual seat fits?)
Like, Will I be able to bolt it in so it fits nicely.

again, it depends on the seat mounts. the seats out of any given car might work, if it does, then awesome. but if the seats don't fit, then u'll have to get new mounts for the seats to mount to the floor of the car. now u can take the mounts out of that nissan or that acura or camaro, put them in the cavalier, then put the seats on the mounts. universal mounts would also work. seats from a different car wouldn't necessarily fit on the mounts in your cavalier.

Hello,
Ok. So basically what you are saying is this...
Lets say I have measured and an acura TL seat fits (just example...i did not acually measure the seats)...and I had both the TL seats AND the mounts. Is there ANY reason why that seat would not fit in my car?
Because I plan on...if I change to whatever seats...just taking the mounts..bolting them down (have to figure out how to do it)...and then putting the seats on...
Is that a hard process to complete? Or is it pretty straight forward?

unless the seat is literally too big to fit in the car, it'll be pretty straight forward. u can take out the mounts that the existing seat in the cavalier is sitting on, bolt the new mount through the existing holes from the original mount. that might be an option. if that doesn't work, drill new holes.

Hey,
Thanks..thats the reply I wanted hhe...I just was not sure if there were some other things that went along with it. Now heres another question. What happens if the seat I choose is power? Can that be hooked up somehow?

now that i don't know. the wires in domestic cars are different from those in foreign, and even other domestics. you might be able to find a wireharness or something like that to hook the controls to the seat and a power source.
