I was riding with my friend the other night on our way home from another honda meet when all of a sudden a brownish tan colored maxima with just a blitz style front bumper came flying by us. My friend knowing the aggressive driver he is downshifts and catches up to him at a light. With our windows down we could here that he had a little sound system in his car so that added a couple extra pounds to his car. So we wait for the light to turn green and this guy in the maxima over anticipates the light to turn green and stalled. The turn light turned green but we were both going straight and he must of tried to get a nice jump. So, this made my friend feel unsure about racing him since he seemed like a rookie if he's gonna stall his car at a light. So the light turns green and the maxima floors it again and my friend catches back up to him at another light. This time my friend is ready. I'm thinking that my friend is gonna get killed though since its a stick and a maxima. And my friend just has a greddy evo exhaust system on his car. But they both floor it off the line and to my surprise they're even for a second but when they both shifted to second the maxima creeped ahead a lil and then into third he crept up a lil more and by the time they both let off at a 100mph the maxima had only a car and a 1/2 length on my friend. Now I knew my friend was going to lose but I thought by way more than this. Maybe it was also because the guy in the maxima didn't really know how to drive. I don't know but all I do know is the guy in the maxima was a dick about it and thought he was tight shit after it. My friend tried to ask him what did he have anything done to his car but he jus turned up his music and drove off. What do you guys think though. Should my friend have been killed more or should it actually be that close due to weight difference?

That's hard to believe. That maxima has 265 hp and 255 tq. Your friends hatchback had 127 hp and 113 tq or something around that. I call :bs:

Wait wait wait...

You seem to forget that power to weight ratio can play a huge role in a race. You seem to know this by claiming a 2100lb curb weight with driver in your sig.

Plus, the Maxima driver might not off been the best driver in the world.

On the street, its more of a race between drivers. It's not often when a race is completely won by one guy relying on the power of his car to make up any differences.

It's not like he said they just killed the Maxima just kept up with it. Which is completely believable especially on the street when stranger things have happened. Go ahead and call you BS...:p
