This past thursday, my 95 Ex was stolen and was found by authorities early this morning. I haven't seen how the car looks as of now. But, i'm going to check it out later today. It was powered by a B16A SiRII motor, had JDM Headers, Jacobs Electronics Ignition upgrade, V-AFC VTEC controller, Air/Fuel Gauge, Tanabe Hyper Medallion Exhaust, and so on....this is one freakin' shitty day. I will try to take pics and post them if possible.................Now, i'm thinking Type-R.

Just hope the body is in good condition so you can keep it , and take the insurance money you get and try to build it back up. You wont break even, yet you might be able to buy parts that you wished you did first time around.

Don't expect to have anything left on it. My friend had his 92 hatch stolen and they took the bodyit, engine, interior, exhaust, pretty much everything except the frame and body. The best anti-theft system I've found is the detachable steering wheel, and I also have that backed by an extremely sensitive alarm system with a pager to go off that I can carry with me whenever the alarm goes off so I can go to it right away.
It's better to be completely safe than sorry. Sorry about your loss bro.

my friends hatch got stolen as well, but when they found it it loeked like they were stripping it but got spookd and ran, most header bots removed, no intake, from motor mounts unbolted.

maybe youll get lucky and get this kind of thing, or maybe even they just wanted a joyride, whoc knows. I mean whay would you steal and EX to steal the drivetrain? maybe its somebody who knew you and knew what yopu had in the car/under the hood.

happened to me once, gave a friend of a friend of a friend a ride up to his house one night and he asked me about my stereo and what kind of subs/amp I had. well, I wnet on vacation a couple days later and came home to my door and trunk slughtly open and no cd player, amp or subs.

yea dont expect anything back with the car. Also, the insurance company is not going to gve you money for the swap or anything you did to it unless for some reason they are really nice.

or if you told them about the mods? I know some companies pay for modifications if they are told about. but engine mods might rase the price if insurance if you told them?

What about the Auto Pro Lock, the one that goes around your clutch arm, has somebody found out a way to steal the car even with that on the clutch. I have that plus a sensative car alarm, no pager alert though. I'm hoping that when they get inside the car, they will see that they can't start it and just just leave. Unless they found out a way to pic or cut the lock or something.

Marked001 had his car stolen once.. got a second one... was in the process of doing an engine swap, and hadn't even got it hooked up and running yet, and it too got stolen and carted away never to be seen again.

But yeah... if you're car is stolen, you can pretty much expect it to be stripped down to bare bones

dude sorry to hear about your loss (yea i know this reply is kinda late)
had many of friends cars stolen with 10 yards from them. Alarms can only do so much, and the pager thingy?...i still don't trust those...saw them show up on eBay first for like $40...not too trustworthy...but anywayz build it back up and go for broke...install some kind of totally extreme antitheft device and tell us how it goes =)

never personally cared for the CRX too much, but I also seem to be like the only person who feels that way so rock on man

If your going to swap an engine into anything atleast choose a 92 civic HB. The CRX is light but, its old ancient, rust/ crumple box and its just a piece of crap IMO . If you are going to do a swap do a 92 Civic Hatchback , I think thats a much better idea than a crx.

Well, yesterday i just picked up a 90 CRX Si for $1900. Now, i'm going to build this one up the right way and use maximum security this time around.
