1997 aurora ,entire colum loose,what to do to tighten,leary of airbag thanks for any help

I know exactly what the problem is. I had the same thing happen to me, but very easy to fix cost no money. first take off the cover of the stearing column, then you want to look toward the back of it near the speedometer, you'll see a little pin that either has a screw in it or the screw came out and you can see the threads where the screw goes, now if that isn't there then the little pin fell behind the plastic panels that cover all the wires, its easy to recover its usually right there for ya, but when you find it or if its still there you want to push the pin in and wiggle the stearing column a little bit so that the pin goes in properly, then take some duct tape or something like that to keep the pin from falling out again.

i had the same thing on 1996. there are two pins, one on either side and they do have a thread hole, for what i'd like to know. i have a blow up and it shows nothing there. i used elec tape, but your right i should have used duct tape. sorry red green

I looked for pins behind plastic cover, nothing. I went to dealer and no plastic pins. on picture shows two pivots which are metal and have threads on inside. how do I tighten this? please help.
