I want to run a heavy nitrous shot... either 100-125(not really heavy but for an import its steeper then stock internals) I know i need to get new rods n pistons... Should i get low compression, close to stock compression or higher compression pistons (H23 stock is 9.8) also, for that much of a shot do i need to sleeve the block or block guard(its a closed deck block already) and would i need to get an aftermarket crankshaft? Other then those, i know and upgraded fuel system would be good Hondata(gotta tune it all right) cams and head job... If you can think of anything else lemme know and if you can answer my questions i greatly apreciate it

What are all the other questions about the turbo for? Are you goiung turbo or N20? Man you can't just waste ppl's time by posting different crap. :nono:

I cant decide whether i want to go N2O or turbo... i know a turbo has more power capabilities... but if i run a bigger shot of N2O then it owuldnt be tht different, im just trying to find the pros/cons of each price difficulty streetablity etc...

If you were smart you would do a turbo/nitrous combo, IMO.

You meen like actually running a shot with the turbo.. or like the fogger intercooler kit? im really leaning towards the turbo setup, but id still like to know how hard it would be to run 100+shot of N2O

Do you know the difference between a wet and dry nitrous system?

Dry injects just nitrous, wet injects nitrous and fuel together

Turbo IMO is the way to go. I believe this beucase turbo can run 24/7 and you can get power anytime you want it, as opposed to N20 whitch is more of a one off, I mean IMO turbo is a constant and useful increase in power, and N20 is just for bragging rights on the track, I mean it seems to much of a hassle for a driven car, once you run out your screwed, no more power for you, of corse thats just me, becuase I wouldn't like to deal with filling it up, I just want solid power  . A turbo doesn't ever run out, So I guess if you just MUST have more power, I would also suggest a n20/turbo setup also, so you could still have decent power normally but kick in some extra on the track for speed tests. I guess if it isnt a driven car, then it doesnt matter, but I woudn't suggest going cheap, I think the wet system is better (from what I hear) becuase its premix, so theres no engine error trying to figure it all out. I assume that means its better for a mostly stock fuel system; It all depends on what you want, and how much you want to spend.

Well this is definitly a street driven car, im still a student infact. I think im going to go with the turbo too, im looking at the maxrev kit... does anyone have any experience with them? And i wouldnt use there aditional injector system, If im going turbo, im going 440-550 primaries and run a hondata... ive heard so many good things about tuning with hondata, and the tuning is what will insure me this car will last till after i finish school(only planin on runnin 7-8psi... cars gotta last me)

i would say you need new rods and pistons, as well as new plugs that are one degree cooler at least. keep the same compression so you dont risk hurting the engine with higher compression or sacrificing power with lower compression. the crankshaft is not necessary, as well as the head work. the new fuel management might help, but is a lot more money than you need to spend. if you use a wet system, most of the work is already done for you anyways.
