My 91 Integra GS is an auto and ive been having problems with it. One day i was just driving along and i tried to accelerate up a hill and nothing. The engine just started pingin the rev limiter. I pulled over and tried to start off again. I put it in D4, and it started to move by itself like its supposed to. I start giving it gas so i can merge into traffic and it starts doin it again, just bouncin at redline. i tried to go through 1,2,3,4 and they are all the same. any one have any ideas as to what it could be? Im thinkin its a broken flex plate or maybe the torque converter went out..?? All input would be great.

thanks
Bryan

:banghead: :banghead: An auto tranny does have a clutch. The tranny doesn't magically shift the gears without grinding. Check out this link:

read the whole article to see how the auto tranny actually works. The whole site is really awesome for people that like to learn about science.

well he must have been talking about the torque converter because that is the only close thing to the clutch...
