gas station

it's been awhile since we've done a poll that doesn't matter what you're into. shoot, it doesn't even matter what you drive

when it comes time to filling up...why do you choose the gas station you go to? if you vote for "other" please reply what it is.

usually cheapest for me. When im up in your neck of the woods though im gonna go with one where the attendents respect my ride since i cant pump my own gas they wont top it off and spill gas on the side of my car.

i usually go where its the cheapest also, the gas guys do a good job and respect my rides too.

i go the gas station i go to because i get the best MPG when i go there.

I go where its cheapest.....I have about $110 in my bank account to last me til the beginning of november when I can get a job so money is tight.

to create extra jobs in oregon all gas stations are full service. it not expected to tip the attendants as it is their job. if you are "caught" pumping your own gas you will be fined.

with that said, i stick with the place that has respect for my ride. 2/3 of the people there (both the detail shop & the gas parts) have done some kind of mod to their car.

i used to go to the cheapest place but those people have no love (or teeth for that matter) for cars.

I usually go to the nearest cheap one. I don't drive to any specific destination when it gets low, but I know where several are around town to stop at when I get low.

There are very few full service gas stations in PA, at least around me, but any of them cost at least 10 cents more per gallon for gas so I avoid them at all costs.....maybe its cause ive always pumped my own gas, but id rather do it myself then have somebody else pump it for me.

I only go to Chevron, or 76 if there's no place else, and I only buy premium. Nothing but the best goes into my car, and I'm glad we don't have full service stations.

I think in some states your not allowed to pump your own gas. I think Oregon is one of them. I go to 76 usualy cause its decent gas or I go to chevron but there not common anymore and ARCO is where I go when money is tight since there the cheapest. Rumor has that all the gas come from the same place but diff places use different addatives ie Techron or cheap places like ARCO do not have any fuel cleaner in thier 87 octane.

you laugh but it's a kick ass thing when it's 10 degrees (or less) and snowing. hell yea i've become lazy when it comes to pumping my gas...sometimes i forget i have to get out of the car in cali

the station i go to is 76...i don't mind the extra pennies. there is never a drop spilled on my car

exactly...I grew up in NJ... the only other state in the country I think where its illegal to pump your own gas... not getting out of your car is the best...just crack the window and stick the money out ;)

It seems like all my parents talk about when I visit them is where to find the cheapest gas... like they research it and drive around town until they find the lowest gas prices... Meanwhile, wasting time/gas anyways... What's the fucking point, at the most, you save a buck or two. I can't be bothered. :disappoin

I just go to the gas station that's 3 blocks from my house.

I go to the gas station by where i work cuz the manager gives me free coffee's and capachinos(sp?)...hehehehehe and tuesday is $.06 off premium....

I go the cheapest petro canada on my way home from work/school, also helps having a petro card heheh in calgary thats 3.5 cents off per leter. But out premium is like 91.

i never knew they had gas stations where u didnt pump your own gas, i usually just go to gas stations that are newer casue some old stations there tanks under ground get moisture in and im not gonna pay for gas with some water

wow, i'm kinda amazed to see i'm the only person who goes where the attendant respects the ride. there are some people here with nice paint jobs...so i expected more.

but thats why i started this :) anybody can vote/reply so the end results may vary :biggrin:

I work at (Mainstreet Mobile) in my town, and i do pump gas for other people. But in maryland its an option if you want to pump it go ahead but we do have full service so most people will do that. Most people also go to us because we have a aftermarket parts store/garage right next door, my job is so tight all i do is pump gas all day and see cool cars drive up and talk to people about there cars all day,i love it!





P.S. gas pumpers DO like tips! I love going home with like 20$ in cash everyday. So to the people who dont tip :thefinger

Not to go off topic but, when i was working the other day with my best friend at the station a sweet CRX pulled up, and i was like hell yea! and my friend and i both race to go pump his gas and go talk to him, i tripped my frind and hopped over him :cwm27: :rofl: (we do that kind of stuff all day) the guy had a sweet setup but only wanted to get 5$ of 93 octane so i didnt get to talk to him long, hope he comes back! there are like no crx's where i live and when i see them i always try to talk to the owner! I want a crx so bad!

I mainly go to the cheapest one's around town (there are a couple spaced around town so I can make it to one whenever) cuz i have found that no matter if i put 87 or 92 or whatever in my car on all the brands my car still runs the same and gets the same gas mileage...plus imma poor 16 year old. I always forget when I go down to Oregon that it is full service cuz I'll pull up and start to get out and realize the attendant is there and be like, oh shit they pump your gas. I don't mind it once in a while but if I had a nice car I'd be really protective of it.

i go to a 76 gas station but the reason i go there is because i work there adn the owner doesnt make any money so i try to support him and stuff cause he gave me a job. so i work at a full service gas station, pumping gas, checking tire pressure and oil all day. its pretty easy. we are 1 of 2 only full service gas stations in my town, but we are the best

On the other hand, I can appreciate what Ami said about having someone else pump your gas when it's cold outside....

I don't care how much the gas costs. I get Sunoco Ultra 94.
I feel my cars run better with it.

i usually go to Canadian Tire, self serve.



and i'm not too concerned about a few cents of price difference.

i just fill up whenever im low really , there is no CHEAPER places to fill up round here, prices have just gone up and now its 82.9p a LITRE which is $1.33 A LITRE!!!!!!

were at around 75.9 a L here, i just go to the one thats near my house, i have a few friends who work their and they have a neat carwash. I know i should wash my own car, and i often do, but i love being in carwashes, went for one tonite

clark tends to be the cheapest. Shell is so overpriced..."our gas is the best, blah blah blah". ive had no problems with my gas...if it aint broke dont fix it...er no need to pay more.
