97deville door airbags, dangerous to remove?

hey...i want to take off my doors to replace the component speakers, but i dont know if it's dangerous with the side impact air bags or not. If anybody has done it or can tell me how to disable them and just make sure that i dont hinder the performance of any of the airbags, that'd be great. thanks.

hey you really shouldnt do that because they might go off i would have a profesional do it

hey i have a 99 deville i pulled off my door panels its fine the airbag is connected to the door panel it wont go off there is a few screws and the door panel slides up nothing to worry about at all
