Stock Cam adustability

I bought some AEM tru time cam gears, and Id like to put them on. Ive set the intake for 4 degrees advance and the exhaust for 2 degrees retard. These are stock cams, will I notice any improvement, or should I put them both back to normal, or is there maybe a better setting I could use. Plus, how do I take the stock cams off. The entire belt and the other cam started to spin when I turned. Thanks

i would leave it at stock. You will probably see more gains that way. As for getting the cam gears off, stick a screwdriver in between the holes and the head and turn it. You are going to need to remove the belt anyways so when you do one cam, the other shouldnt spin. Good luck.

honestly, dyno-tuning would be the most ideal way to figure out the correct setting.

for now, i'd go w/ crx's advice an leave it at stock.

Thanks. Then I'll hopefully get some stage two cams. My buddy might buy a head with some JUN valves, springs and retainers, and Ill just buy those off him.
