How do you convert 1:1 measurements to 1:10 scale? I know that there is a mathmatical formula but I can't find it.
I'm scratchbuilding a custom chopper and I have to make my own rims and tires (in fact, the only kit based parts are the V-Twin and drivetrain). I need to scale down a 21 inch rim to 1:10th.
Also can anyone direct me to a site that has scratchbuilt or kit built chopper bikes or Harleys?
Thanks

divide by the denominator.
i.e.,
divide all dimensions by 10.
i.e.,
divide all dimensions by 10.

Will the answer be in inches or millimeters?

For your question. Scaling down 21 inches to 1/10 is 2.1 inches.

it will be in the same units with which you began.

if you want inches to become milimeters multiply the inches by 25.4.
i.e 2" x 25.4 = 50.8mm
i.e 2" x 25.4 = 50.8mm
