Simple brain teaser.

When Maria went to get a passport, she had to give her real date of birth, but under all other circumstances she refused. When somebody asked how old she was, she said she was twenty-one. mentally omitting all Sundays. Sundays she didn't work, so naturally she didn't get any older. How old was Maria really?

i'm gonna say 18 or 24.... depending on which way the question is asked... but I could be totally off.....lol

She would be almost 24.

I would agree with Polygon that she is almost, but not quite 24. :D

My calculations also got 24, but since you say it's a brain teaser, then is she somehow really 21?

cuz if you take evry sunday for 1 year its 52X21=1092
then take 365X21=7665 wich is the number of day in 21 years than take the days she counts of 1092 and subtract them from 7665 and you get 6573 then take that and devide it by 365 which give you the years she's been alive

24 is the correct answer. She lied about 1/7 of her age. 1/7 of 21 is 3 so 21 + 3.

The only part of this that was tricky was because people thought it would have been harder, thats way to simple for a brain teaser
