What do you think of this!

The Honda Fit is very popular in Japan and this is the Type S version! 150 BHP 1.5 twin-cam engine :D

It looks very small, but I like the styling off that car. The front bumpers looks good.

Yea it is small - probably the same size as a Yaris or similar!
Nice motor for the wife methinks ;)

Imagine you rev with something like this at a Beemer or something. They should be in for a big surprise:D . That thing has to fly with that engine

Not my style. I would slow down, let them catch me, and smoke them again until they get sick of loosing:D

Only know what it feels like to smoke a Beemer in my dreams with my 1.4l:rolleyes:

Not too sure if the Jazz is the same thing..............

Goosse,
Get some NOS fitted and then you'll smoke most Beemers

Nice car... really great when standing near a golf vr6! Even nicer without the type S badge. When I had a wife, I would buy it for her

Do you know the specs? (0-100(96) km/h)

Honda Fit = Honda Jazz ;)

Europe will be getting delivery of this car from January 2002. It will be available with a 1.2 or 1.4 i-DSI engine (fish4cars (http://www.fish4cars.co.uk/roadtests/newcar_preview/newcar_preview_hondajazz.html)). I can't find any more info on the Type S. The Honda Fit (http://www.honda.co.jp/Fit/top/index.html) website shows all the OEM body kits available :D

I like the styling too but I doubt that it´s that fast! IMO a Civic VTi will definetly kill it.

The Vitz is the Yaris in Japan

The online magazine Mag-X reports the following:

Honda Fit has received two 2001 Car of the Year Awards recently in Japan.

The long waiting list shows how popular the car is and it is said that Honda is
reducing TV commercials in order to shorten the waiting list.

The present Fit is equipped with twin plug 1.3 liter DSI engine producing maximum
power/torque of 86ps/12.1kg-m. Its fuel consumption rate is marvelous but many
customers are waiting for more powerful version.

So Honda is planning to introduce Fit "Type S" version next June. It will be equipped
with 1.5 liter unit and 5-speed manual transmission. It is said that there will also
be automatic transmission for those who wish to enjoy easier driving.

The engine will produce 150ps/15.8kg-m which will be more than welcome for its
compact body size. Suspensions will be tuned in order to achieve sporty agile
driving.

Interior will be attractive also.It will feature leather covered seat and shift
lever knob, and carbon-looking finish. White colored meters will be red-lighted to
emphasize its sporty feeling.

The exterior features aero-type original bumper and 15-inch aluminum wheel.

The image illustration we produced shows white livery with red badge. Many fans
are wishing to have the model as aggressive as this.

Toyota Vitz, which dominated the compact HB market till the Fit was introduced,
will make revenge to its enemy. The Vitz will be model changed on December 20
with new turbo version added to the line-up.

The battle between Fit vs Vitz will become more fierce with the Turbo Vitz and the
Type S Fit being on to the stage.

Goosse, I have the same engine in my car. Although it feels quick at times, I would love more power. Next time I'm going with more power. The insurance will be expensive, but it will be worth it :D

Seriously, would you consider getting a NOS Kit fitted?
I know of someone who is about to start fitting these kits, I wonder what the insurance would think of it - that is if you tell them :evillaugh:

A white / black mugen is nicer in my opinion... but still like it in red (for my wife again, you understand)

As long as you're alone in the car, it isn't that bad. But when you got 2 or 3 passengers, the car won't move anymore.:(

I´ve got 8,5x17" rims with 215/40 tires all around plus some spacers on the back so that my ride is looking really wide (??). That could cause some serious trouble when I have too much extra weight in it! But actually I never had trouble with rubbing or stuff like that!:sun:
