i have a detail shop next to a Porsche shop and we work together quite a bit. well this week they have a tech in from Ruf doing modifications on an 02' 996tt. here are some pics i've taken. i have some more but i need to resize them. it's one of the coolest things i've ever seen...
here is the engine dropped from the car. it has a new exhaust and turbos. if anyone has seen an engine taken out of a 996 then they know what i mean by dropped. they literally have to be unbolted and the car lifted off.

here is the underside missing a few vital parts, like a motor, tranny and suspension.

here is the tranny. it has a new six gear to allow the car to top out at around 212mph...

here is the ruf tech taking the tranny apart...

he pulled the motor, replaced the exhaust and turbos, tore apart the tranny and replaced the six gear, removed the suspension, put the motor back in and had the car running in one day. he had the total mods done today after only two days of work. it was amazing watching this guy work.
