Fuel Pump Wiring Problem

I have replaced the fuel pump on my 1996 Yukon (in-tank pump). Also replaced the wiring connectors and terminals. I am questioning whether the right wires are going to the correct terminals on the connector from the wiring harness because the fuel pump is unresponsive (will not even click on). Does anyone know the wiring color code for the connector? (There are 4 wires on the six-way connector). I would also appreciate any suggestions if you can think of something else that may be causing the problem.

The small Purple/white wire goes to cavity A....that is the signal wire for the sending unit
The smaller Black wire goes to cavity D....sender ground
The Gray wire goes to cavity B...fuel pump 12 volts
The larger Black wire goes to cavity C....fuel pump ground
Don't mix up the 2 black wires...the small wire can't handle the amperage from the fuel pump.

Also check your fuel pump relay and the ECM B fuse in the underhood electrical center.

Thanks! Greatly appreciate the information. Found that the wiring to the connector was incorrect.
