:screwy: Yesterday I was driving my 92'Ranger on the interstate. Got about 40 miles from the house, turned off and when I pushed on the clutch peddle it dropped to the floor. Would not change gears, could not start it due to the fact the clutch was still engaged. Got out, looked under hood and under truck, saw nothing out of line , got back in tried it several more times, then all of a sudden it started working again. Brought it back home, took it to the shop and could find nothing wrong. Any one else have this problem??

A few years ago mine did the same thing where the pedaldropped to the floor. Turned out to be the slave cylinder was shot. thats located on the clutch assembly in the transmission, which unfortunately means the tranny's gotta be pulled. Replaced it with help from my friend and it was a pain in the ass!!! :banghead:

I have a 92 ranger that had the same problem, they have mazda tannys in them with an internal slave cylinder. Either way your going to have to remove the tranny, check the slave cylinder inside the bell housing to see if it is leaking, you may want to replace the release bearing at the same time, this solved my problem.
