1996 Blazer

I drive my dad's V6 1996 4WD 4-Door Blazer and was wondering if I bought it from my dad, could I pull a V8 engine swap or is there just not enough room?
What years can I do the V8 engine swap with since I really like the Blazer and am really interested in buying one, but I need the V8...
