ok guys....and girls, i've got a problem. i've got 99 civic ex and i replaced the stock wires with msd 8.5mm wires little over a month ago. when i first replaced the wires a couple of them seemed to be coming up off the plugs a few cms, but they stopped doing that after about a week. just recently(within the last week or so), the wire farthest to the right is coming compleley off the plug. grr, :banghead: it's gotten to the point where it's just sitting loose on top of the spark plug. i's sure there prolly a really simple explanation, but i don't know jack when it comes to engine work. :loser: anywho, if anybody knows whats going on i'd really appreciate some advice.

Did you buy Bosch wires? Bosch messed up their catalogue and they recommend Nissan wires for Hondas. Nissan wires will come off!!! Buy a set of Niehoff and those will not come off for the first six years or so, then they too will slip out a couple of mm per year or so.

Hope this helped, once again if the wires you purchased were also recommended for the Nissan Sentra it is time to get the proper type of wire; I told Canadian Tire of this problem although I did not check to see if they changed their catalogue....

It could be that one or more of your spark plugs is damaged. Check and see if they are.

i pulled that plug out this afternoon and checked it out. it looks a little scorched, but nothing physically wrong with it. well i put it back in and plugged it up, drove around for about and hour, and no problems so far. ::shrugs:: who knows.

If you want plug wire that fit correctly get some NGK's. Most aftermarket plug wires dont sit properly & some pop off. My MSD wires dont sit perfectly, but yet they haven't pop off completely yet.
