Yeah, it sticks on thin cement layer.

What kind of glue are you supposed to use? I heard 3M makes a spray adhesive that works okay for that. :)

Matching paint can also be used for an adhesive for the product but get it on before the paint sets up.
A kitchen strainer (for straining orange juice or the like) is the best way of spreading it,put it in the strainer and tap the strainer and it should come out evenly.
