Stupid riceburners!

So I'm driving along during rush hour, and I pull up to a stop light next to your typical riceburner. Mid 90's honda, whale-tale, exhaust pipe big enough to stick a watermelon in, and your typical air dams that just look obnoxious and ugly. So the light turns green, and I continue driving along. Eventually I get ahead of him and switch lanes till I'm directly in front him. I glance in my rear view, and what did I see on the hood of his car???? He had removed the honda H and replaced it with a BMW ROUNDEL!!!!!!!!! It was quite possibly the most blasphemous thing I had ever seen!! I switch lanes and slow down so he can pass me, and the guy had the nerve to smile and wave at me like I usually do to other Bimmer drivers! So I let him pass, and of course he had the roundel on the back as well. But probably the funniest thing about the whole ordeal was that he left the civic badging on the back!!!!! Anyway, I think I'm done griping about this, and I realize that not everybody can drive a BMW, but don't try to be something your obviously not and will never be.

I know how you feel.
I was watching some ricer show on Speed TV a while back, but can't recall the name. They were showing all the custom cars with mega $$$$ paint schemes, gazillion watt stereo systems, chromed out under bodys, and stock motors (ha ha). There was this one Civic that had a BMW front clip grafted onto it, and they made such a big deal of how cool it was. Hell, that's a wanta-be if I'd ever seen one. Go out and get the real thing, that would be cool !!!!!!!
The only thing that has come from the 2-fast 2-furious movies is that any dude w/a ricer that has at least an air intake pipe thinks he has a fffaaasssttt ride. --NOT!!!!-- I get these pieces of tortured crap in my shop on a regular basis. Most of the intake pipes have the air filter located right behind the radiator. Doesn't hot air defeat the purpose? Oh yeah, I almost forgot, all that Nosssssssssssssssss putsthe power back in that the hot air took out. ---But not too much, or it will crack the intake manifold.
I guess it's typical that the bad guys ruin it for the good ones. I own a Vette (I'm not bragging) and I don't see how these guys think that they can take on something that is so much out of their league. ---Don't get me wrong, there are some fast ones out there---. On the average, high-powered B.M.W.s and strong American muscle up against a puney sewing machine, get real.
I can honestly say that I have cosidered installing some discreet BMW badging on my Pro-Touring Camaro project when it hits the streets, only because it will have an M-70 V-12 under the hood.

WOW Texas!!!That's so weird! My friend gave me his BMW after he blew a timing belt, and I'm looking for a Chevy 302 to stick under the hood.
Are you going to run it with the blower?

Even though I made the intake manifold adaptable for a 6-71 blower, I won't install it. The engine is already on the high side, stacking a blower, carbs and air cleaners on top will be outrageously tall. I'm looking to build a car that has good performance in all areas. If it happens to need more beans, I have a nitrous kit that I can put to it.
You say you're looking for a Chevy engine? I installed a crate-motor in a Chevy 4X4 this week and the one that came out was still in good shape. The 350 had some miles on it, but it wasn't smoking or knocking. I also have a 305 that came out of a '91 Camaro. Both engines can be easily converted to roller camshafts for better performance. If you're not too far away, shipping shouldn't be too bad. I had the V-12 shipped in from Florida at a cost of $100 for freight. I have some Chevy transmissions in the back, as well as some complete distributors and different odds-and-ends.
Let me know.
