Dash kit

I just recieved my brushed aluminum dash kit from Alka Plus today. I will let you guys know how it goes.

It was the only kit I found that included the guage bezzle and door lock accents for a lower price than the Joshua Tree. BUT if you have the money for the REAL brushed aluminum kit from the Joshua Tree, GET IT. I helped a guy that I met at a local show install it and it is super sweet. The only thing I did not like was that you need to bend and shape the aluminum pieces by hand. But it looks a lot better than the fake ones.

Well, I opened the box and was kinda disappointed. The speedometer bezel was missing and there is a defect on the transmission surround. I am gonna send the kit back.

I wanted a cheap price kit and I got a cheap kit.

has ne1 gotten the carbon fiber dash kit from them? does it look good..?

I believe all their dash kits will be fairly cheap. The rubber material bends easily and it would be a sinch to install in a maxima, BUT and I mean a big one, the material seems very cheap. It does say on the webpage you can request a sample to test in your car and I definitly would have done that if I saw it earlier.

It also says on their webpage that they know what quality material is......the webpage also says they have only been in business 2 years. What kind of experience is that?

Also, if you break a piece when installing it they do not say how much a single piece is to replace it. At the Joshua Tree it does say that you can order any piece that you need whenever you need it.

Another thing about the Brushed Aluminum kit....all the pieces had a shadow effect/defect around every piece which didn't enhance the cheap look.

DONT get the CF kit!! I returned the kit and still waiting for my refund after 60 days. They told me to call them which is long distance and gonna cost me money!! I give alka plus a -neg for REFUND! I better get my $147.00 back!!! I bought my kit on ebay and was never happy. go with JT its nice!!

i called them, finally after all these BS with the company i managed to get back only 30 bucks.. oh wellz, its over with, my loss was there gain.. this is for you alka plus!:flipa:

i just got my joshua tree carbon fiber kit in and i looooooove it.. i can not belive the quality is top notch. i can not wait to get that baby in. i know a couple of members that have the same kit in and it looks like it belongs on an AUDI RS-6. top top quality for under 2 bills. highly recommended. will post pics once it is on.
i compared it to the AP-Singworks CF kit and the difference is very obvious. the JT is by far nicer.
